Lesson 13: Major 1-5 Games

You learned about the major scale degrees 1-5 in Lesson 12: Major Scale 1-5, but you need to know them well before you go on. So play these practice games until they're easy, and keep coming back to them until they stay easy.

This first game gives you a piano keyboard to click:

Click notes 1-5 of the major scale:

1 2 3 4 5
1:

In the next game, you have just the pitch names, no keyboard. This can be a lot harder:

Click notes 1-5 of the
major scale:
1:
C♭ C C♯
B♭ B B♯
A♭ A A♯
G♭ G G♯
F♭ F F♯
E♭ E E♯
D♭ D D♯
C♭ C C♯
B♭ B B♯
A♭ A A♯
G♭ G G♯
F♭ F F♯
E♭ E E♯
D♭ D D♯
C♭ C C♯

When these games are easy for you, you're ready to go on to Lesson 14: Chords: Major Triads.
